General terms and conditions for travelling with Scenic Horizon Tours
The proprietors have the right to cancel or alter the tour or any part thereof or to arrange substitute vehicles without notice where this may be found necessary at the Proprietors sole discretion. In addition the Proprietors have the right to arrange alternative accommodation to that advertised, if the advertised accommodation should become unavailable during the course of the tour.
Itineraries: Subject to change without notice (due to unforeseen circumstances) at the discretion of the Proprietors.
Indemnity Clause: The sale of this tour described herein by Scenic Horizon Tours is made as agent only for the persons providing the respective services and upon conditions that Scenic Horizon Tours shall not be liable for any accident, injury, delay, irregularity, loss or damage caused by or arising out of the provision of or failure to provide any such service.
Passengers shall not smoke or consume intoxicating liquor while on the coach.
Luggage: One medium suitcase (maximum weight 15 kilos) and one carry bag per person.
Tickets: Non transferable unless such transfer is approved by the Proprietors.
Seat Allocation: Passengers rotate seats daily according to the coach number system to ensure everyone enjoys forward and window seating.
Tour payments: A deposit is required on all tours and final payment is due at least forty days prior to departure unless otherwise stated on the brochure.
Concessions: All fares are quoted on a per head basis unless otherwise stated.
Cancellation fees: As motels and attractions are becoming stricter on cancellations please be aware that cancellation fees may apply for cancellations received up to and including thirty days from the date of departure and fees will apply for cancellations received up to and including seven days from a tour departure date unless specified otherwise on the tour brochure. However we will endeavour to refund where possible, subject to third party cancellation policies.
Tour departures/cancellations: Subject to passenger numbers at the discretion of the Proprietors.
Accommodation: Comfortable twin/double rooms with private facilities. Single room (optional extra) available on request at time of booking.
Inclusions: Accommodation, breakfasts and dinners plus morning teas and lunches where mentioned in the itinerary. All admissions to attractions listed in the itinerary. Where possible a home pickup is provided in the immediate Central Coast area.
Travel insurance: Travel insurance cover is recommended for all tours. We strongly recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance with a reputable insurance company to cover you against possible associated risks of travel including cover for medical expenses and costs, loss of luggage, and expenses incurred due to cancellations, delays or other disruptions.
Travel sickness: You should arrange medication or other alternatives to treat symptoms if you suffer from travel sickness.
Health and fitness: A certain level of health and fitness is required to participate in our tours. Mobility is needed for boarding and alighting the coach. If you have concerns about your mobility, please enquire before booking. Please do not board the coach if you are not well.
Force Majeure: Force Majeure means the occurrence of an event that is beyond the Proprietors reasonable control and which could not have been reasonably prevented which includes, but is not limited to: (a) pandemic events such as Covid-19; (b) natural disaster (including but not limited to flooding, fire, earthquake, landslide), adverse weather conditions, high or low water levels; (c) nuclear or other industrial accident causing environmental pollution or contamination; or (d) change in government restrictions or regulations. Should a Force Majeure event prevent Scenic Horizon Tours from providing your tour as planned, we will change our travel arrangements as reasonably practicable to ensure your safety and invoice you for any possible additional costs if required.
Acceptance of terms: You confirm your understanding and acceptance of the terms and conditions of travel by paying your booking deposit or otherwise paying any part of the price of your tour.
Special Instructions for Covid-19 Safety
For your safety and the safety of your fellow passengers:
Please do not board the coach if you are not well.
Please maintain physical distancing where possible at all times.
Scenic Horizon Tours will provide hand sanitizers when boarding the coach and in the vehicle. Disinfectant wipes will also be provided. The coach ‘heavy use areas’ such as hand rails and arm rests will be cleaned after each stop before passengers reboard. The coach will be cleaned thoroughly at the end of each day.
Air conditioning will be set on the ‘fresh air’ mode and air filters cleaned daily.
Hygiene is most important – wash hands thoroughly and use your personal hand sanitiser or cleaning wipes regularly. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or flexed elbow if you need to cough or sneeze.
Avoid using the onboard toilet facility unless absolutely necessary as the toilet is cleaned once a day and not after each use.
Scenic Horizon Tours cushions and seat belt covers will not be available until further notice.
